The drivers own it.

FullFare is a rideshare project whose ownership and governance sit with the people who drive. It is in the lab, which means nothing on this page is for sale and everything on it is present tense.

Why it exists

Drivers provide the cars, the labour and the insurance, and absorb the downside when a shift goes wrong. On the incumbent platforms they keep a minority of the value they create, with no visibility into how the price was set and no say in setting it. The asymmetry is not a pricing decision that could be reversed by a better-intentioned operator. It is what the ownership structure produces.

FullFare starts from the other end. The people who run the platform hold the governance rights over it, the economics are legible to the people they apply to, and the licence is chosen so that no one — including us — can close it again later. Change the ownership structure and the arithmetic changes with it.

The cooperative form is the argument. A platform owned by its drivers is not a platform with a generous fee schedule; it is a different kind of object, one where the people carrying the risk hold the vote that sets the terms, and where governance is a structural property rather than a consultation exercise. Ownership is the feature.

The settlement claim above is stated as fact because it is one, and it is not something you can verify from here: there is no public receipt for it yet. A page in the lab owes you that sentence more than it owes you a badge.
